1973 27th April. HOME FROM NORWAY TO PONTINS HEMSBY (with itchy feet)

1972/73 was a very exciting period for the band, we all had the travel bug and nowhere seemed impossible to visit & work. Offers of work  were coming in for East Anglian American air bases , Torronto, A Caribbean Cruise & Africa. It seemed like we were getting it right.

After returning home from Norway in the spring of 1973 we decided to play the Summer Season at Pontins holiday camp  in Hemsby starting 11th May . It  was to be our largest & most professional  residency to date with pro caberets & shows to accompany. We also  doubled up playing at a very late-night caberet club in Yarmouth named 'Pharoas'. This we managed to acheive by finishing at Pontins at 11.30pm & chasing down the coast to  the nightclub & play until approx. 2.30am the following day. exausting yes, but I now had more money coming in weekly than I could ever imagine.
